  • short post

Following advice I had Wil admitted to hospital just before Memorial Day. Then I had to find a place to take him. Didn't have the right questions during the tour. Hospital dumped him on them unannounced and no information. Carol and I had his room all set up. This was the last time he walked. They didn't offer one on one care and hospice was not yet in place.

He went down hill quickly and died June 19th. I got to tell him I loved him and I know that is what he was trying to say back.

He was buried July 13th full military honors.

  • Such sad news. Thought I'd get caught up on your writing and read about Wil. There are no words to express how sad this news hit me. You've had your share of grief and now this. Bless you Bonnie

  • It’s said that losing a husband is the worst. You’ve had more than your share of grief. Somehow you survive and soldier on. Others would have given up. You have my condolences and prayers. Now, you need to take care of yourself. Your stress has been tremendous, but I hope some has been relieved and resolved. Blessings and virtual hugs, Mary

  • You have my sincere condolences Bonnie. What comfort to know you were able to say goodbye and both say I love you.
Yesterday for some reason you were suddenly on my mind and as we had not heard in quite some time thought perhaps Wil was gone. Take care of yourself - you have had such heartache over the years. Know you have people who care.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and I know he’s with the angels now. Let me know if you need anything.
