Adjusting
Saturday we buried Pookie, between tears. Then it was take cages out of that room, Wil did it I couldn't lift Pook's cage and he barely could. I got the bucket and set work on the wall. Birds eating are messy but he wasn't to bad. I sat on the chair to do most of it. Then came the floor, Wil wanted to do that but I was messing with the Swifter. Could find no way to get to any batteries and it wouldn't spray. Pulled out the Libman that I really like. Had Wil roll the big file cabinet under wall shelves.
Daughter and I talked about moving Wil's desk in there but decided against it. He doesn't take change at this stage. When I asked him if he wanted to move it he said "I have a desk?" So instead I swapped the chair from there with the old office chair. It now becomes my reading room.
This week I've had Tina in to do the floors she missed last week because I was off to Office Depot forgetting it was her day. Then Millie popped in with some hats she thought I'd like and a little gift of books for coloring cards that are about postcard size and probably could be used as such. That just pleased me to no end. A new coloring challenge! Carissa and I just talked yesterday as I seem to be bored with the Mandela's and animals. My hummingbird book is about done.
Tomorrow night I will finish supper then go pretty much nothing by mouth for the right side ablation on my back. They will ask how I've been since the last one. How do I tell them when I fell on my backside the very next day trying to put 4 puppies back in the yard that I did so much damage to muscles I couldn't tell of any improvement?
Well it's time to warm up some pizza from Saturday. Of course if I were a college kid I'd eat it cold.

So sorry to hear about Pookie. Pets are a part of the family and losing one is heartbreaking.
Thank you Sue. Wil doesn't even seem to notice the empty room now. Yet Saturday night he asked where the other bird was. Buster has been gone quite awhile.
I'm so sorry for your and Wil's loss of your precious Pookie. I know you both will miss not having him with you but know that you took very good care of him and he had a wonderful life.
Folks sorry I had not gotten back to answer. Thank you for the condolences. I'm still kinda loss...no feeding brkfst dinner and supper and leaving the door open all the time. Can't get out to look for a little bird to set on his grave. I put his stick there.
So sorry to hear the news about Pookie - you have told us tales of him for so many years. These pets leave a hole in our hearts when they leave us.
I'm so sorry that Pookie is gone. Pets are a lot of work, but most people find the companionship worth it.
Such sad news. I know pookie will be missed, you've had him a long time. It will take some time to get used to him being gone. Sounds awful what your falling might of did to your back. Seems as we age each day brings a new health problem. So far Hubby and I are doing good. Been fishing and staying away from crowds. Not to many people at our fishing hole. So peaceful and breezy. Seen on the weather channel Texas is having a heat wave, happy you have air. I enjoy reading your posts even if I don't reply often, just know that I'm here. Stay safe
I use pencils, pens and some of my 0.3mm letter pens. Large areas may find crayola crayons.
I’m sorry for your loss. I know that was difficult for you. Do you use colored pencils for your coloring?
