Lost another
There are many times on the internet I will click a link and it isn't what it is supposed to be that will pop up. I was confused this morning when I clicked on a friend's link and the name below the singing wasn't the same one as her nieces name. When I asked her about it she flew into a rage in a private message. I hurt her nieces feelings (a grown woman as near as I can figure). I tried to explain what I meant, no matter I got the second barrel.
I am sick to death of hurting someone's feelings when that was not my intention. A simple question and "you started it" landed back in my lap. I can't ask a question? I have to watch my mouth? Why did I post that on her thread? Hell I didn't know a simple question was out of line. My feelings are not as important as her adult nieces? Nope. Years of friendship aren't important? Nope.
I was going to close FB but I use it to keep quick contact with daughter. I have other friends and relatives there. Or I assume I have friends. So I'll watch my mouth and won't post any comment on anyone's post as they may be taken wrong.
So I hope the singing niece heals. This is the second time this year I have pissed someone off. I don't need the stress.

@fauquet: Yesterday I talked with her. When she said "it's done" she didn't mean our friendship, just the topic that caused this.
Daughter reminded me I am just to quick in reactions when I get upset. A lot of this is leftover from child hood.
You did fot th best and people yeld at you! Where is the justice ?
Love

Some people are overly sensitive. As we muddle through life we realize having feelings is a luxury. We have to dust ourselves off move on and hope time heals.
Thanks for the hug CC, at least this morning I'm not crying. I still can't believe it though. My solution was to unfriend her on FB so when I decide to go back I won't have to worry about doing something wrong will just read and not comment.
Sounds to me like your friend has stressed out. Let's hope that she recovers to equilibrium and offers an olive branch. Some of us were born with thick skins. Others, not so much. In these stressful times, I doubt that any of us has skin as thick as "normal".
I'm sorry for your "happening". You have enough stress in your life.
Sending you hugs (the safe kind).
Her niece was singing Acapulco but the link had another woman's name and I thought I had the wrong link. I made the mistake of asking about that. I didn't say anything bad about the singing. I don't know her niece, I just thought I was at the wrong place. That happens with links.
I can't apologize to her, and I'm hurt my ex friend yelled at me about it. But my feelings don't count, only her niece.
I don’t actually understand what happened with your friend’s niece (?) but whatever it is, if you made a mistake, just apologize. If she can’t forgive, then what does that say about her?
