Well here is one side. I just hate there is little practical storage place for things like toothbrushes and denture cups. (even the hairbrush won't fit in the drawer).

Of course if you believe all tv shows that talk about germs the toothbrush shouldn't even be in a bathroom near a toilet. Such a shame, I'm still alive as I'm a testament to it won't kill you.

Wil loves the mirror as much as I do. Though he will still have to change light bulbs as I'm too short.

To the right of the mirror is the only thing I can do with necklaces. My jewelry box has little hooks that require you twist your arm to retrieve them off the hook. Few hooks in it. Wil picked it for his 'prize' one year at a Sea World party.

The down side of them in sight, burglar wouldn't have to work hard to find my prized necklaces. But they would swipe an entire jewelry box any way.

Today Wil and I worked at cleaning in our bedroom, he used the big vacuum cleaner. Then a straighten up of hall linen closet. The other set of rugs for the bathroom are dark green. They went with the wall paper, they won't go very well now. Tough, they will be used until they wear out. I have few visitors to my house so no big deal.

That little bud vase of yellow flowers were Scott's and they really look nice in there. I used to have a blue glass swan sitting there.

In the bedroom I started to dust one knick knack shelf and when I picked up the boxes containing cremains of the cats I started to cry. How strange is that? Then came the plaster cast the vet made of foot prints. I wonder when I will be able to discard them? I told Wil when I die just tuck them in with my feet, no one will know.

So much of the knick knacks are memories. Wil wanted me to take a picture of his shelf of Steelers stuff. I even have a tin with the porcelain pew numbers that came from a pew in the church Wil was baptized in. Got those from his sister years ago. I have milk bottles from my Grandfather's dairy, designed by my dad. Also an Isaly's milk bottle that I don't remember when or where I got it, but I sure remember the store.

I still have 2 shelves to go but I'm done for the day.

Cold weather is here again today and yesterday. Won't last, we don't pack summer clothes away with good reason.

The older we get, the fewer things
seem worth waiting in line for.

@Maggietx1 -  I just could not clean the big one any more. Too much stretching and I couldn't clean the light fixture above it with the fancy shades and so high up.

This looks like the exact same setup as my bathroom! I love the shape of that mirror!

There's never enough storage in the bathroom.

Although we do have a large vanity; it has drawers on one side, and then a larger place for towels opposite the drawers, and then one very large drawer on the bottom. We each have our own drawer, and that's where we keep our toothbrushes. I have a pretty bag that hang on a hook on the back of the bathroom door, and I keep my hair dryer in it. I love having it in there; out of sight, close to hand. Since the bathroom is so small, I can easily reach the bag when I am standing in front of the mirror to do my hair.

I don't like rugs in my bathroom, I just have a mat that is thrown over the sides of the tub until we step out after a shower.

If you want to keep the burglars away, you shouldn't have such a nice bathroom. Mine is an awful mess, so I figure he'd take one look and try to find a better house to rob. Of course, I don't have any jewelry anyway, so have at it, burglars!

@Maggietx1 - Oh your sense of humor! I can remember when Wil used to tease years ago and say he was trading me in on two 20's. Can't remember my smart retort.

@suzyQ_darnit - In the winter that place is freezing cold and my feet are cold enough as I make those nightly trots into the place. I hate slippers. If I wake completely I can't get back to sleep.

@buntsign - You are hilarious. A burglar couldn't even find your place from the sounds of when you used to write.

Your new bathroom looks lovely. :) When it comes to germs on your toothbrush stuff, just make sure you shut the lid on your toilet before flushing. Best to do that anyway, as it prevents any aerosol of germs getting into your bathroom air. Best wishes from Bwlchtocyn! (We're away at our caravan in North Wales at the mo)

where do doctors keep their toothbrushes? Love your necklace keeper, I keep mine hung on a glass ginger jab and then I hang my earrings from the necklaces, I don't worry about buglers though,we have 3 big lab dogs who stay in the house if we aren't home. I think you have a good plan for your cats remains, and I do not think it's strange to be emotional!
