Six days into a new year
Like Spring outside, bit windy but nice. Left Wil to fill 2 bird baths and I suppose I will have to go see what he is doing now. Had a heck of a time convincing him which pair of his shoes were the old ones. Easy with Velcro straps as the new ones are still clean.
Got him scheduled to see if he can get new hearing aids, and ones that go over the ear like mine. Don't know if we can succeed but will try 21 Feb with Audiology appt. I got the old aid in his right ear yesterday but not today. He developed an infection in that ear last month I didn't know about until I managed to get him in and they pulled out tons of wax. This is the ear he had surgery in years ago.
Next week I have a neck MRI and right shoulder X ray. I'm sure they will find plenty of arthritis, got that bad in my right hand I think. One knuckle I've managed to hit so many times and by the end of the day I get lotion that I bought for my back, and put it on that hand.
Then I have to spend 2 hrs. Wednesday getting iron infusion. I'm anemic again and she also wants me to have a colonoscopy. But if bleeds are usually in the small intestine how will they know as a colon exam doesn't go that far. If you figured I don't want it right you are. Years ago I even swallowed a camera and they found nothing. I see her again in April so I best have my mind made up by then.
Back door opened according to the Brinks pad. Figured Wil came in, then again it alerted I best go see. He's in but he has a bad habit of opening that door. Time for me to lock it and take the key out of the dead bolt. Instead I made him a bagel.
I saw Missy but hope Mr. Grey is sleeping in his penthouse.
Start the new year missing my original wedding band. If it dropped on the floor it isn't in that room. I moved both file cabinets and the cupboard holding prescriptions. I used a tooth brush and knife on the track of closet doors as well. Evelyn insisted she would come back tomorrow and help look. I forgot Vikki is to come back tomorrow and help me put Christmas stuff away. I still have the engagement ring and can't believe if Missy saw it she would of picked it up. That would mean search garage which will require a flashlight and broom.
Great now the front door open. Can't set at the computer any more unless he is in bed.

@murisopsis: so far Wil isn't going out except to mail box. He doesn't remember his time in the Air Force either. He knows I belong here but apparently has forgotten my name. I try to get the mail before him.
Bonnie I'm sad to hear that your hand and shoulder are acting up. My doctor wants me to have a colonoscopy too. I'm waiting on the appointment. At this rate it will be another 4 months before it finally happens! My sister is taking care of her MIL with dementia. They have had to put child-proof latches on the doors as she has "bad" days where she thinks she needs to "go to work" and will get dressed and head out the door. Fortunately she always caught the bus on the corner, so that's where they find her - standing at the corner waiting. (there is no bus service where they live!)
Ah Missy, sweet but naughty. At least it turned out well.
Yes Mary the ring was found. Evelyn came on her day off and grabbed the dust mop. I spied a con in the little pile of dirt and under it my ring. So Missy was the culprit.
Hi Bonnie, did you find your wedding ring? Mine is so old I scarcely wear it. I don’t want to lose the small diamond. With all your concerns now a precious ring is lost. I’ve lost several gold earrings. It’s frustrating. I hope it’s found and you can check it off your list. I hope all the exams are over and the results satisfactory. Take care. Looking forward to spring.
@fauquet: Is this a life time requirement now Michel?
@BLB: @BLB: @BLB: I understand Bonnie . It also is hard for me too to go at the hôpita; 3 times per week fr dialysis .

@fauquet: that makes two of us. I don't have energy to keep running to doctors. Today we both go to foot doctor.
@BLB: I hope all will be OK in the end, Bonnie
Michel
@fauquet: Got to Xray, their machine went down had to cancel Dr. appt until it is done next week if it doesn't happen again. Got in for the infusion and they were so backed up lobby and hall full I asked to reschedule but the girl in the back said they could do it. Next week is the last one of those.
@BLB:I think you already make a huge work, Bonnie . All of my compliments.

Thank you Rosemary. I'm stuck in the decision on the coloscopy though. They have never determined the source of the anemia and I don't think they ever will.
@fauquet: thank you Michel. I hope to do a better job this year.
Pick your battles is such a wise way to go Bonnie. Take that tranquilizer when you really need it though. You are having a rough time of it - do such a good job but we all have our limits. Hoping your procedures go well this month.
You life looks like a nurse job, Bonnie .
However I wish you a happy new year
Love
Michel
Mary there are many dementia's and Wil has not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I wouldn't allow any new drug any way. Drugs can have side effects making this condition worse as many drugs do. I don't need problems, I do have for me a tranquilizer if things get to bad. Haven't used it but once a couple years ago. I just have to learn to "pick my battles".
Hi Bonnie, Did you hear about the new Alzheimer’s drug? It’s suppose to delay the progression of the disease. The downside is it won’t be available for a year, it’s expensive, and it’s uncertain that Medicare will pay for it. I hope this month isn’t too hard for you. Having an iron infusion and an mri is plenty. I too have neck spasms and shoulder issues. The cold rainy weather hasn’t helped. Take care.
