Waiting
The funeral home wanted insurance information to 'help me'. I learned today it was sent by UPS to Carissa's address. I have no idea who has it as they have a habit of leaving things on the porch. So today they have had to send me a new packet that I can do nothing with unless I have a copy of the death certificate. Which of course I don't have. More complicated because she died at home. They have to investigate more. Like contact her primary doctor but I don't know what else.
So off I went to look through the bush at the corner of the porch. Betty was to come at 9:30 to again clear a path to the office. When they pulled the mattress and box springs out they cluttered the office again and I wanted to fix it so Troy could walk in and get the equipment belonging to Well Med. Doug fixed it, pulled it out and put it near the door. He put the new knob on the front door and helped me carry stuff for the city bulk pick up. Betty was late.
Doug and I talked about the need for a company to clear stuff out. He got on his cell phone and came back with a name and number and set it up for them to come give an estimate Monday.
I'm exhausted mentally and physically. Signing off.

@murisopsis: thank you Val
Bonnie I wish there was something I could do to help make this time easier. I continue to pray...
Sasha it has been a shock to me as well. I'll need all the prayers I can get. Found out today the funeral home kept calling yesterday and Wil never told me, nor did he write it down like he has in the past. They finally got permission to cremate her and they will inter her Friday aft.
Sue we have paid for I think 15 death certificates. Some places only require a copy, others certified. If I need more I will have to go through the health dept. I'd love to find the paperwork.
@fauquet: thank you Michel, I could use a lot of prayers.
Bonnie, the funeral home ordered 10 death certificates each for me when my parents passed away last year. You'll probably need additional death certificates for your daughter if you need to close or need access to your daughter's bank account(s) and other types of accounts such as credit card companies, 401k, etc. My aunt hired a company to clean out my uncle's apartment when he passed away after she had taken whatever she wanted or needed, including paper work. One other thing, if you haven't done it already, you can put a change of address for mail from your daughter's house to your house. The funeral home also provided a booklet that included a list of things needing to be done when someone passes away. I'm sorry you have to handle all of this yourself.
I understand you are exhausted mentally and physically , Bonnie since you are almost alone to face your daughter passing and all of the problems that come afterwards .
You have my support
Love
Michel
