I am currently waiting for credit statement to come in but I do want to make some phone calls this coming week hopefully to block the charge without having to get a new card.
Current issue is Wil's coin collection.
I carried a cigar box with this assortment to the pool after my daily work out and lunch. SJ sent a picture to another collector that works there. He told her he wanted it all. I told her to take what coin she wanted and the same with Drew. When I got home Wil and I set about to separate and count them. $44.01.The majority of these he had taken out of the protective covers as he planned on simply running them through the cash machine at the Credit Union. He figured there were none of real value and said he doubts he can find any where to buy his collection. In the past he has traveled south of us in the city to coin collectors and sold hardly anything.
I'm thinking it may be the market is either dead or not interested in sets. Most everything he got was from the Mint.
At any rate the person in question has not called or emailed so by next week it will go to the counter. The hard part is reminding Wil he said he would give the guy a week. I had to move the cigar box out of his view along with a box of sets I want to save.
He has stacks of Kennedy half dollars that are on his desk and he keeps moving them around and I assume counting them. He has coins in a desk drawer that I have no idea what he wants to do with them. The entire week I've spent time getting him away from his desk. I had him drive me to the Commissary to make a return and gas the car. He drove by the gas station after I told him twice it was coming up. Hearing ? or wandering mind?
Adding to the problem, statement came in for insurance policies. He can't understand why the amount is not reduced since the truck is no longer on the policy. I get confused with this stuff and asked daughter for help. She should be in today. I went online to check the account and after much trouble logging in the page I need won't load! Won't today either. I'm thinking I should of been much more involved with this insurance business.
I have no idea how he is going to react today if/when she asks questions. She is at a loss why he chose the method he did for payment, and I wasn't with him when he took out the policies.
edit: daughter just left and insurance is settled in my mind for now. lol She also dialed the number for my Visa and for some reason immediately heard which number to punch and wrote down the info how to dispute that charge and was kind enough to type the letter that will go off in Monday's mail. She didn't care for me calling it a fraud. LOL
I talked to her about our need to get a durable power of attorney for her. We have the medical one.

@murisopsis: Parts will be sold to a pool friend, another day we will go to a place I found but for years he has tried to sell some with no luck.
My father's coin collection is waiting to be sold. It is difficult to find a buyer willing to pay what it is worth since the market isn't good right now... Don't sell just to get rid of it! There will be interest - be patient. I hope Wil is able to handle the change... (no this isn't a pun). I think the power of attorney for your daughter is an excellent idea!
@fauquet: Michel since the switch over of Xanga I can't even get in her link. I don't think she is blogging and she didn't know how to fix the problem last time I ask her. I'll send and email and ask again.

@fauquet: Yes the insurance is going down, not in time for June but will for July.
Wil is only asking for face value now, not what they could bring at collector's prices. Certainly not less than face value. Imagine we will travel to Credit union this week and cash them in.
Will has amassed a real treasure of coins. How to use them? You're talking about a collector. Not sure this collector will want to pay the real value !
I hope the insurance price will be decreasing since your truck has been sold .

Bless your heart Bonnie--I know how hard it is==I was going thru all my coin collections the other day--Like ya'll I know I need to let them go--but my heart wont let me.I have Kennedy half and first day of issue coins. I will probably still be looking at them the day I die--just to hard to give the stuff up. I did tell my sister I will give our Grandmothers china to her daughter(I don't have any grand daughters) But at least we get to decide who to give stuff to I guess huh?
I'm sure between you and daughter, you can sort things out with the insurance. I don't honestly know much about coins but I think rarer, older coins are the only ones that'll bring a price.
