Nothing like an old fool
I rarely ever hit one of the ads on FB. Finally after seeing Joanne Gaines my favorite lady from Fixer Upper I clicked on the ad on the side that led me to Jullen Skin Care of which she was supposed to be CEO. I went all over that page to read about this free trial, I never saw any warning you had 14 days to cancel. That was yesterday, I got out today but is that soon enough to block an $89.95 charge to my card?
I only got on top after looking at yesterday's credit card bill and seeing a 99 cent charge, and a $4.95 charge that I had not made. I would NEVER charge 99 cents and who the heck is CGS SplashFinesse? and Boldcrush.com?
After returning the battery to Lowe's this morning I sat down and started calling the phone numbers. Both managed to call back just about the same time so I lost the one call. Then is when I learned if I did not cancel in 14 days I would be charged the full amount for the free trial 0.50 floz or 15 ml product!
I went ballistic and told her their is no such a disclaimer on the web page, I went back after we hung up, no their isn't. Accused them of fraud and being scammers. She cancelled, refused to send an email saying so but gave me the cancellation number to write down. That is if I heard correctly C1667546.
Doing more research if I want to block this company from getting the money which doggone name do I give the bank?
While part of me understands the dilemma for a celebrity I should think they would have some way to make it known when they are under a current scam. Now I better understand how so many of the older population such as I can get caught. I have never believe in skin care ads, why did I trust this one?
So now I wait a month to actually see I guess the unauthorized payment.
It is obvious to me of late my brain is leaking.

You poor leaky thing. Seriously, B, everyone gets taken in by something at one time or another, even younger people. I hope you were able to have the charges taken off. Your card should have some sort of fraud protection which I think someone else already commented on. Please post soon!
@murisopsis: VISA has a menu and it doesn't include a choice for protesting a charge. I can't remember if I got any where by hitting 0.
I haven't looked up the bank in Omaha's number and everything I've read says all they will do is cancel the card and issue a new one. That would cause a problem if any legitimate charge hasn't cleared.
They are very sneaky!! Call your credit card company - tell them the amounts and the names of the charges and they will take them off. As for the other issue - 14 days to cancel. If you have their name the credit card company can and will block the charge! Now is when you can be aggressive and take charge!!
@fauquet: Depends what surface I am on whether that works or not.
@fauquet: It will be a horribly hard lesson though. I've been passing the word around hopefully to help someone else.

I rarely shop anywhere but Blair and Amazon. I've had good luck so far.
Sad---you just cant trust anything to buy on the internet,I got 3 e mails last week from Amazon-telling me my order would be late and to confirm my credit card number. I contacted Amazon--they took care of it. Hope you get that fixed !
