That visit done
My new shoe laces donated by friend Lisa. She remembered how I hated white laces. I like colors, or is it due to the years of white nurses type shoes? LOLSo I turned it into a tag for PSP groups.
OK about an hour before I was to leave for the Gastro doc my stomach went into that full blown annoying problem. Wil chose to leave the house for once so I let him drive me. Good idea, gave me a chance to reign in the "Nervous Nellie" syndrome. lol
Turns out the doctor agrees with my diagnoses of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and he also like my answer of Benefiber once a day. He did ask me if I have always been a "nervous Nellie" and I broke out in laughter. I wasn't offended. It's obvious with my fast speech pattern. At least I don't tap my toe. The brochure they handed me I see there is no test for this so I shouldn't have been nervous in the first place. Now I just need to listen to myself more.
Of course I am free to come back and see him at any time. I took the opportunity to let him know the brand new building had no hooks in the restroom for a purse and I also let him know I fixed the toilet roll holder that had hung up because it is cheap plastic. That he knew as he had to do the same this morning.
Wil has come up with a problem of itching. I gave him a Benadryl when we got home and didn't tell him he might get sleepy. Now how do I get him to rub some lotion on his dry arms? Though I've seen him scratching his neck and ears too. No Muriopsis, no rash, and may yours heal quickly.

@fauquet: Knowing what it is and figuring out what triggers it isn't so easy. Isn't always stress.
I like the color of the laces !!
Your problem of bowel is almost solved since you know what it is!
Love

@murisopsis: Have you any more clues to what caused it? I can't imagine anything more miserable, unless it were a toothache. Not a pleasant way to vacation.
I'm glad your GI issues have a name - now at least you can treat it appropriately. The dry skin can very well be the issue with Wil's itch. I'm trying to get rid of my rash. The spots on my back are still there but they don't itch. However the neck and face are as itchy as before. I may be making a trip to the doctor again to see if there is anything more to do for it. I hope Wil's itch is solved with the lotion...
Ask him to describe the itch. If he's still scratching in spite of using lotion or anti-itch cream, it could be an issue with his kidneys.
Sasha we both have diabetes and I noticed how dry his skin is. He doesn't describe the itch I just see him scratching and scratching. I got him to put lotion on last night. He bruises terribly easy so this is now something else I must watch closely.
Maggie this particular doctor with that horrible colonoscopy test is the only one I get uptight about. lol
How does he describe the itch? Does Wil have diabetes? I don't remember.
Glad I'm not the only one that gets tied in a knot before a doctors visit!!!!
